Makmum 2 is a 2021 Indonesian horror film produced by Blue Water Films and Dee Company, directed by Guntur Soeharjanto. This film is a continuation of the 2019 film Makmum, and is adapted from a short film by Riza Pahlevi. The main players in this film are Titi Kamal, Samuel Rizal, Marcella Zalianty, and Dea Panendra. This film managed to attract 1,762,847 viewers when it was shown in cinemas on December 30, 2021.

This film was shown in Indonesian cinemas on December 30, 2021, and was also shown in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei Darussalam cinemas on January 13, 2022.

SYNOPSIS: Just as her husband died, Rini (played by Titi Kamal) received news that her mother, Yanti, who had cared for her since childhood, had died. Together with Hafiz (played by Jason Doulez Beunaya Bangun), his son, he then returns to his hometown, Suayan village. Because the village elder who is usually called Mr. Ustadz (played by Pritt Timothy) wants his residents to focus on worship, he rejects all forms of progress. As a result, until now the village is completely untouched by electricity.

When he was buried, there were rumors that Bude Yanti died as a result of daring to enter the haunted forbidden forest. Rini also advised Hafiz not to ever enter the forest. While playing hide and seek with the children there, Hafiz follows a lame-legged child (played by Zayen Aqilah) into the forbidden forest.

The three of them disappeared, but were later found unconscious on a stone altar in the middle of the forest. One by one the other two children recovered, but not Hafiz. Rini herself is increasingly being disturbed by khanzab, a ghost who appears as a aunt when she performs prayers.

It was later discovered that the ghost was a spirit that was guarding the forbidden forest who did not accept that their 'home' was being disturbed in the process of building the village mosque. Nyi Lawe, one of the guardian ghosts, even possessed Rini to avenge her. Luckily, thanks to the cooperation of Mr. Ustadz, Mr. Ajis (played by Fuad Idris), Alif (played by Samuel Rizal), and Mbah Zahar (played by Otig Pakis), Nyi Lawe was expelled from Rini's body.
