Kumpulan Karangkraf is a publishing, printing and distribution company of magazines, books and printed materials in Southeast Asia. Today, the group is the largest publisher of Malay-language magazines in Malaysia, with 30 titles under its belt. Its position as a major publisher was further strengthened in 2006 with the launch of Sinar Harian, a Malay-language newspaper which is the only regionally-specific multi-edition newspaper in Peninsular Malaysia.

The buoyant market for Malay-language reading materials led to an increase in titles introduced by Kumpulan Media Karangkraf Sdn. Bhd. which was then located at Taman Tun Dr Ismail and Jalan Penchala, Petaling Jaya, Selangor. In late 2002, Kumpulan Media Karangkraf Sdn. Bhd. moved to its new complex in Shah Alam, Selangor known as the Karangkraf complex. The purple building is located on a 12.5-acre site that houses all of Kumpulan Karangkraf Sdn Bhd's operations under one roof.

As of 2008, Kumpulan Media Karangkraf Sdn. Bhd. had published a total of 29 print titles. In 2010, Karangkraf had over 1,400 employees throughout Malaysia.
